This Cipria sofa by a Brazilian designer duo Fernando and Humberto Campana has been a subject of much controversy since its launch in 2009 for Italian brand Edra. The unique design with its irregular patchwork shape gained a lot of admirers, while other aficionados of the design world proclaimed it one of the most hideous furniture products of the year and a stain on the honour of the Campana brothers.
Resembling a fluffy marshmallow Cipria invites you to sink comfortably into it and relax with its ecological fur covering that comes in different hair lengths. Soft, large and wacky, this sofa is a character piece that will fill any living space and soften the edges of the room.
Whether it is a piece that one would like to see in their interior space or rather only an interesting product you take a second look at, the playful, imaginative vision of Cipria’s designers and, dare I say, their somewhat irresistible charm offerms a welcomed departure from the more traditionalist design.
